Zumba!!!!

Last night was Day 2 of my 30 in 30 project. I went to a zumba class, one of the many free classes being offered by NYC.gov. If you want a fun way to exercise THIS IS IT! Zumba combines dance and exercise to give you a total body workout. The instructor knows what shes doing and she makes it fun for us. I love music, the music is all the dance hits of today and some oldies but goodies. When thriller by Michael Jackson came on and I caught myself actually doing the thriller video dance moves that's when i knew this was the class for me. Zumba if done for 60 minutes straight can burn 500 - 800 calories. That's pretty damn good considering you are basically just dancing. I love it! My body is definitely sore today, but that is only an indication that all those hip thrusts i did yesterday is working!
The class I go to is in Westchester Sq. in the Bronx and its from 7pm - 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class gets really full which is always a good thing because it means its a good class. I encourage anyone who wants to have fun while working out to take this class.
