Saturday was my first session of Bikram Yoga. I must say it is very intense. At first i thought i was going to pass out. The room is at 104 degrees and you are sweating as soon as you walk in. Your first day the goal is just to stay in the room for the 90 min. There are about 26 postures in total, each posture 2 sets are done. The heat helps your flexibility.
I've gone 4 times now and I have to say I feel great! After Bikram yoga u feel refreshed and revived. This surge of energy rushes in you and it lasts all day. Any joint pain you had is gone and you sleep like a baby at night! It gives you a great sense of peace of mind. I absolutely love it! My cousin and I will be doing the 30 day challenge.
Each 90 minutes of Bikram yoga you do, you burn up to 1600 calories! If that's not a well rounded workout then I don't know what is! I recommend everyone to do it at least once.
